From Racing to Guiding: My Journey Across the Seas

Sailing has been more than a sport to me – it’s been my life’s greatest adventure. My journey began with a spark of curiosity, but it quickly evolved into a deep passion, propelling me onto the world stage. Since 2008, I’ve proudly represented Poland in regattas across the globe, chasing excellence and the thrill of the race.

In 2010, my path reached new heights when I joined the Polish National Team as a 49er-class crew member. Alongside my helm, Tomasz Januszewski, and under the guidance of Coach Pawel Kacprowski, we embarked on six years of relentless Olympic campaigns. Together, as POL52 Team (later mBank Sailing Team), we became an elite in the international sailing arena, achieving remarkable milestones:

• 4th at World Championship, Clearwater (USA), 2016
• 7th at European Championship, Porto (POR), 2015
• 2nd at EuroCup, Riva del Garda (ITA), 2015
• 6th at Trofeo Princessa Sofia, Mallorca (ESP), 2015
• 1st at World Cup Final, Abu Dhabi (UAE), 2015
• 3rd at Kieler Woche Regatta, Kiel (GER), 2014
• Multiple National Medallist

Our victories weren’t just about trophies – they were moments of grit, and pride, built through committment, determination, ambition, and countless challenges.

After my 49er campaigns, I set my sights on new horizons. I had the privilege of joining world-class projects with some of the most prestigious Polish sailing teams:

• Melges 32 with StarTelekom Yacht Racing
• J70 with CB Racing Team
• Cape 31 with Team Aspire led by Mateusz Kusznierewicz
• SSL47 with Polish National Team for Star Sailors League
• HH42 with Scamp 3
• Volvo Open 70 with I Love Poland

These experiences deepened my expertise and widened my perspective, solidifying my place in the global sailing community.

From an Athlete to a Coach: Giving Back to the Sport

In 2018, I found a new passion: coaching. Sharing my knowledge with international teams was as rewarding as standing on the podium myself. By 2020, I had the honor of becoming the Lead National Team Coach for Finland’s 49er Class, guiding ambitious sailors on their own paths to greatness.

With over 12 years of experience in sailing yachts and 6 years in motorboating, I now work as a coach and advisor, dedicated to passing on specialized know-how to the next generation of sailors.

Holding an RYA Yachtmaster Offshore certification and other key ocean-going qualifications, I strive to embody professionalism, commitment, and an unwavering love for the sea.

When I’m not racing or coaching, you’ll find me near the water – cruising, fishing, or wakesurfing. For me, the sea isn’t just a place to work. It’s where I find joy, freedom, and inspiration.
